Another Good Day

Today we had a great day. We started our morning attending our new branch. The branch was wonderful. All of the members were very nice and it was good to attend church. After church we headed home. Mrs. Rodney, our land lady took us on a tour of her garden, she has many herbs and fruit and also a flower garden. It is all a part of our yard. This afternoon we went over to the Cook's for dinner. They are wonderful people and have been such a help on our arrival and since we have been on the island as have all of our neighbors that live here in Glanvilia. We cannot express how thankful we are to the many wonderful families that live close to us. From the wonderful meals the first day we were here to helping us find the way to the beach, everybody has been so helpful and kind. Tonight the children found the largest beetle with a 3 inch horn. The total beetle was the size of a hand. The kids also liked to see the iguanas yesterday as well. This next week will be filled with orientation for school and trying to get into somewhat of a routine. Danielle, went to the Saturday market at 6 am and found the family some good fruit and vegetables. We had the most wonderful watermelon yesterday, sugar cane and star fruit today. As well as some bananas, mangos, and plenty of other things. As we go throughout the days we become more accustomed to the island and continue to learn more things to be aware of. Island life has been good. It has rained 3 times since we have been here, 4 days, and this is the dry season. We hope everyone is doing well back home. Enjoy your clean running water and cold days.
