Well today was a great day. I feel as though Medical School is finally here. This week is orientation week. Today we went over what is expected of us and the grade scale, curriculum, and schedule. Danielle and the kids had a fairly normal day at the house. Dani made the best bread and cinnamon rolls tonight, she is quite the trooper. Tonight we went to a welcome dinner and had some Dominican food along with some hamburgers ( which the kids were very happy to get ) there isn't a lot of meat on the island. We did buy some yellow fin tuna yesterday and grilled it on our George Foreman with some caramelized onions and garlic. Carter got a huge mosquito bite we are assuming on his calf and it created quite the puss pocket today. After he let us pop it, he felt much better. We found out today that our class size was only going to be 256 students as opposed to the 600 students that were in each class the last two semesters. This is good to hear as they have cut back on acceptances in order to have more focus on the class. Also, because of the class size, I will be going to school right next to the kids classroom instead of a 1/4 mile away so the school kids are excited about that. We may end up purchasing a washing machine, they are expensive but to wash all of the clothes by hand, pump all of our drinking water, walk at least 2.5 miles a day with all of the kids, do all of the other housework without much of a husband can be a daunting task for anyone to accomplish. I walked to Portsmouth today with Carter and Ella and was able to by another transformer/converter box for our living room. This way we don't have as many electrical cords and power strips strung out all over the house. We also purchased hangers and some more flour. The hangers turned the kids hands blue from holding them so we are a little apprehensive about hanging any clothes on them for the time being. Ella's little ringlets are so cute and tight with all of the humidity. We hope that all is well back home. Classes start soon and we are anxious to get started. Since it is an accelerated program everyone just continues to tell us to enjoy our time while we have it, so we may go have a little fun tomorrow.

The scenery looks so beautiful and lush. I hope you don't loose anyone, it is so overgrown and full. Glad things are going well. It would be a little hard to handwash for 7. Will Carter be going to preschool? xoxoxoxo Gram
It is so much fun to see all your pictures and hear how y'all are doing! And I could use some of your homemade bread and cinnamon rolls about now - yumm!
