We've Arrived

After our journey through three airports and 26 bags of luggage, we have arrived in Dominica. Everybody has been so friendly and kind to our family since we have been here. From the members of the Branch, our Landlord and the Spouses Organization, we have been helped every step of the way. We love our home and are greatful to be living where we do. We have already met several wonderful families and we are excited to finally be here. We spent the last couple of days visiting the school, getting settled in our home and a trip to the beach as a reward for the kids for the help throughout the last couple of days. Hayden and Carter have adapted well saying hello to everyone, in fact today they told someone " hello, for the third time today" Adalyn isn't afraid of the ocean as she has ventured out quite far without any hesitation. And Ella just wants to know why the waves aren't letting her wash her hands. As she goes down to the water and the waves retract back to the ocean she is frustrated that the waves won't stay still as she says, "it not lettin me". Ella also wants to borrow papa's car. The island is beautiful and as green as can be imagined with many beautiful flowers everywhere. We had a nice thunderstorm last night, almost bought bad fish, saved by a local lady who yelled at the man for trying to sell a family with kids a bony fish, bought our landlord a beer " on accident" and on a serious note were miraculously saved by a tragic accident as three of our children were rescued from a speeding truck barreling around a blind corner, hung out on a beautiful beach, pumped water through a filter, boiled water to wash dishes, lost some shoes, only to be returned later that night, and we are just thankful for all that we have been given.
